"Project Leader Micro System Technology - in Operations"

Job situation:

  • You will work in the Operations group for the support of platform projects as the link between R&D (e.g. the development of new connectivity products) and Operations.
  • You report to the Manager Production Engineering.

Content:

In general: especially about fibre (connectivity) you will realize projects to bring new products (especially metal products) into production

In particular:

  • Co-engineering: you give R&D input for their design thanks to your knowledge of materials, technologies and processes, ... and translate this to Operations
  • You don't design the product itself, but you are the liaison between R&D and operations, for the scale up from pilot to production: you are responsible for the coordination of the design of the production/assembly line by a supplier or by Tyco itself; you are also responsible for the test and the validation of this new or altered assembly line - your projects are delivered to the production engineers
  • You implement the complete project as from R&D until the production floor; you represent Operations and you steer all involved functional groups: purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, quality & lab regarding the project
  • You technically support our suppliers and get their expertise
  • You follow up the budget involved
  • You exchange and transfer expertise with colleague-project leaders
  • You implement state of the art assembly and treatment processes

Profile:

Professional:

  • You have a MSc in (Applied) Engineering - ing or ir - in Mechatronics, Mechanics (option e.g. precision mechanics), ... with knowledge of metal (treatment) and/or precision mechanics and/or micro system technology
  • You have at least 5-7 years experience of which at least 3-5 in an Operations (production, engineering, ...) environment
  • You have project management skills
  • You are a strong organizer and capable of keeping the overview over the complete process
  • You know about Design for Assembly - or are willing to learn it quickly
  • Your experience with testing and/or validation of processes (or parts of it) is seen as a big plus
  • You have min. 2-3 years experience with micro technology or precision mechanics

Languages: Excellent English is absolutely required. Dutch is a plus
