Function
details: This
person will work in the R&D department and will be responsible for research
& development in the field of fiber-cement materials with emphasis on
fibers development and composite design. He/she will help enhance the strong
market position through a continuous search for new sustainable products with
superior performances. He/she will support the company’s operational
performance by improving the manufacturing processes and by developing new,
cost effective product formulations.
Expectations for this role
include:
•
Develop fundamental knowledge of fiber
cement products and composites.
•
Apply and leverage technical skills for fiber cement production
processes and products.
•
Become a recognized specialist in the field of synthetic and natural
fibers for fiber cement composites.
•
Work independently within a project team in a result oriented and
innovative environment.
•
Develop project leader skills in a multicultural environment
(internal/external team members).
•
Eye and talent for “resources” and “vision”.
Education
and qualifications:
•
PhD in materials engineering, chemical & polymer science or
equivalent combination of education & research experience.
•
Strong interest in fibers and composite materials.
•
A (first) professional experience in research management is a plus.
•
Publications and/or practical use of his/her previous research results
are a plus.
•
Familiar with MS Office Programs.

initial training period, 10 to 20 % (global) traveling (scientific seminars,
suppliers, etc...).
